"The ocean stirs the heat,
inspires the imagination
and brings eternal joy to the soul."
-Wyland
Last week I shared this post about the first half of my trip to Queensland at the start of the year.During the second half of the trip, we spent a lot more time at the beach, visited the zoo, went to a Buddist retreat centre, and (of course) swam in the pool. Here is a photo diary of some of my favourite places.
Beach
It was very, very hot and the beach was the perfect place to cool off. Swimming, body surfing, boarding, jumping around in the waves- I did it all!
Time to cool off
When it was too hot to do anything, we escaped up into the mountains, to an adorable town called Montville. The town had beautiful views, boutique shops and lots of ice-cream.
At the zoo
We braved the heat and spent a day at Australia Zoo. My favourite animal is red pandas, but the only red panda the zoo has was too shy for photos.
Chenrezig Buddist Center
We went to the Chenrezig Buddist centre for lunch on a rainy Friday, and it was amazing! The food was beautiful and the Garden of Enlightenment stunning.
Don't you think it is amazing how within a 40 -minute drive there are such different environments? All these different locations really tested my photography skills, and I loved every minute.
Have a great week
